Classroom Rules
1. BE RESPONSIBLE: Raise your hand; complete all work.
2. BE SAFE: Keep hands to yourself; always walk; use materials wisely.
3. BE CARING: Use kind words; take turns.
4. BE RESPECTFUL: Use good manners; always be honest; help keep a disruption-free learning environment.
We will have a clip chart in our class with several levels. Each day the students will begin on "I am doing my best and ready to learn". After 2 warnings they will move to "I can make better choices". Then they move to "I can improve my choices" then to "I can talk about my behavior". There will be consequences that follow each clip down.
0 clips down = Excellent Day
1 clip down = Warning! Student will conference with teacher.
2 clips down = Student will walk laps at recess.
3 clips down = Phone call or note home to parents.
I strongly encourage good behavior in the classroom, at enrichments, walking in the halls, at lunch, and on the playground.
Students love receiving rewards. Every school day, each student is given the opportunity to earn a gold coin for having an excellent day. On most Fridays, students will be able to take a trip to our class store. The store will included small candy, pencils, small toys, etc. at different coin amounts for purchase. Any donations to the treasure chest are greatly appreciated by the students.
